Nikki is driven by an experiential knowing that communities have the answers! Subsequently Nikki has seen that in connecting and listening to children, leaders and innovators – to you, that your unique solutions come to the surface.

Nikki has travelled from the  ‘grassroots’ of her childhood of violence and abuse, to a lived experience of overcoming debilitating thinking patterns and disorders. While fostering children and young people for 10 years and 14 year's ‘lay counselling’  with  people on the  community spectrum from professionals to cage fighters, to families to farmers, Nikki has garnered innovative and diverse insights!   

The past 5 years have added a new chapter to the story with Nikki in the governance space.  It started with  the first year working voluntary to get a large scale regional initiative off the ground and founding a charitable trust, Poppycock Trust (www.poppycock.nz). Nikki has spent years securing funding for and managing multiple community projects while developing policy, relationships, and connections that seek to identify solutions, reduce disparity and release creativity into our communities.

A growth mind-set has always been at the heart of Nikki’s journey from personal study such as Te Ara Reo, or professional growth through a Diploma in Child Protection and a Diploma in Leadership  followed by the Leadership New Zealand program, of which Nikki became an Alumni in 2015. After starting FlowCoach in 2017 and enjoying contract work in and out of the region,  Nikki has enjoyed starting her Certified coach training in 2018.

The arc of Nikki's experiences from ‘grassroots to governance’ have honed her listening, questioning and evaluating skills in both personal and professional contexts allowing her to ‘courage keep’ with her community.  Her strength is holding and enjoying diverse viewpoints, bringing insights that help build a clearer picture or navigate a path that others hadn’t considered previously. Nikki has an unique ability to see connections that add a sense of relevance to work, play and  life, engaging people to new levels of ‘energy management’ for  maintaining their purpose and passion.
